Baby Dreamtime

Sleeping

As I watch my two-month-old daughter sleep, my heart is filled with tremendous warmth and peace. She is still, and as she smiles and squeaks, I cherish the sensation of her tiny warm body against mine, knowing that too soon she will not choose to fall asleep in my arms. In this moment, I wonder at her smiles . . . and the nature of her dreamtime . . .

Quieting my mind, I breathe in the stillness of this moment and slowly begin the process of connecting with her as she sleeps. Her sacred temple is uncluttered and clean. It is filled with Light and surrounded by the same! I am in awe of its beauty and the purity of her connection to all that is.

In this moment Angels are softly present. She is gently nestled with them within a protective web of Light and into it she will weave the story of her own life.

Silently, I watch her joyfully playing with the Angels and Masters she has known for all time. She is easily connected to all of her spiritual guides, still unpolluted by her short time in the physical.

She giggles with the fairies and elves, not only in her dreamtime, but during her waking hours as well. I have watched her eyes light up and listened to her tiny giggles and coos of pleasure as she interacts with them daily. In her temple they dance and sing, breathing the brilliance of nature into its foundation.

I pray she will always find joy in these friends, these teachers, and that she will always believe in and know the many extraordinary beings of Light beyond the veil.

As her mother, I wish to protect her from the darkness that she may encounter here. But this is not my job. Instead, I am to guide her, to teach her by my rather flawed example. But thankfully, we are not meant to be perfect. And she must make her own choices. I can neither protect her from the dark, nor force her to the Light.

And so I hold her in my arms and as she dreams with her guides, I will dream with her. She has begun her wondrous journey!
