On Shadows

Where there are shadows, there is light seeking to penetrate the darkness of our deepest wounds.  The goddess has long sought and master the magick to clear these shadows.  Here, she seeks wisdom and her personal strength, bringing with her, the joy and beauty, the inspiration and miracles found only within.

These magicks dwell next to the darkness, dancing with their flowing light even into the deepest passages of the heart, mind and soul.  Here, they can only grow as bright and as strong as there is stillness in the shadows.  The mind is the most powerful part of creating magick.  If it is busy and cluttered, the seeds of the muse are planted into the clutter rather than the fertile ground of light and passion!

To quiet the mind is a quest every student of magick must personally master.  It is a quest of self discovery, healing and deepening knowledge of the ancient mysteries.  It is a quest which must end alone, in silence.

In this silence, the shadows have little hold, for the silence allows for true reflection and connection to the light and to the self.  It is this quiet state that presents the mirrors upon which we must reflect, the mirrors of our innermost secrets and pain we have buried in the cobwebs and darkness.  Stillness allows this reflection to be a peaceful one, uninterrupted or distracted by the myriad of mental disruptions usually at play in the mind.

Here, we can gaze into the mirror uninterrupted and in-encumbered by these distractions.  Here, we are at peace and in the flow of energy from the universe.
